What is in the Student Recreation Center [SRC]?

Opened in April 2006 as the first project Student Government Association [SGA] voted to support from student fees, the 120,000 sq. ft. Student Recreation Center features a diverse recreation experience under one roof.

50 ft. Climbing Wall

Learn how to navigate an indoor climbing gym or sharpen your climbing skills through problems ranging from novice to expert. 

Cardio Room

From treadmills to ellipticals and stationary bikes, find your indoor cardio workout obtained through reliable equipment.

Weight Area

One of three different weight lifting facilities on campus, our weight room provides mostly free and some resistance weights.

Indoor Walking/Running Track

If you have to take your walking/running regiment indoors, our indoor walk/run track can assist in your goals. While circling our indoor Main Gym, nine (9) laps equate a mile. Alternative workout options are available in the corners for circuit training. 

50-Meter Swimming Pool

Academics, outdoor programs, club sports, intramural sports, fitness, and aquatic certifications are hosted in UREC's Olympic size pool. While open, there will always be an option for lap swim. 

UREC Offices

The SRC houses the Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness, IM Sports and Outdoor Programs offices in the building.

Outing Center

Homebase for any Outdoor Programs/Adventure pursuit as you can sign-up for trips, rent equipment or inquire about how to get involved.
