Communications Program Assistant

Summary Program Assistants are undergraduate students and report to the Graduate Assistant and through them, the Assistant Director of University Recreation for the planning, creation and execution of a comprehensive communications plan for University Recreation (UREC). This includes assisting in telling the UREC story, department activities and opportunities through in-person and electronic means. This position utilizes creativity and innovation for communication of accurate information to current, future and past participants. This team will represent the department at special events, becoming the voice of University Recreation.
Hours Varies based on program and department need. Office Hours Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm. Evening/Weekend Hours for programs. Team Meeting. Average 12 hours weekly with 20 hours during training week.
Salary $7.65 per hour

Preferred qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree or career in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of different marketing platforms/software to assist with digital asset creation.
