Communications Positions

Communications Connect Crew (Work Study & Non-Work Study positions available)

Summary

A Connect Crew Member is primarily responsible for making connections with other students through attending campus events, meeting student organizations and clubs, etc. with the goal of sharing opportunities of UREC programs and services with people to be able to authentically invite individuals to participate with University Recreation.

Hours The Connect Crew Member will work on average 10-15 hours per month during the academic year. 
Salary $8.50 per hour

Required qualifications
  • CPR/AED, First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 21 days of first day of employment (UREC will provide this training upon hire)

  • Dedication to University Recreation and a desire to support its Mission, Vision and Values.

Communications Creations Crew (Work Study & Non-Work Study positions available)

Summary The Communications Creations Crew is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution of the department’s communication plan. This includes delivering UREC content with others in mind and collecting stories to share with others. The Communications Creations Crew will support all areas of University Recreation.
Hours The Communications Creations Crew will work on average 6-15 hours per week during the academic year (up to 35 hours per week during summer sessions).
Salary $8.50 per hour

Communications Program Manager (Work Study & Non-Work Study positions available)

Summary

The Communications Program Manager is primarily responsible for leading efforts to execute the Communications plan for the department.  This includes delivering UREC content with others in mind and collecting stories to share with others. The Communications Program Manager will support all areas of University Recreation through organizing a team of students in their day-to-day tasks, provide feedback, and maintain open communication with everyone.

Hours The Communications Program Manager will work on average 16-20 hours per week during the academic year (up to 35 hours per week during summer sessions).
Salary $12.25 per hour.
