Safety Audits Information

Safety Audits will be occuring from July 7-11 and throughout the Fall semester. These are not real emergencies. If you see a real emergency that is not being attended, please contact the nearest Facility Supervisor or the front desk.

What is a Facility Audit?

These are fake emergencies conducted for our staff to practice and ensure they are prepared for real emergency situations. These audits allow our staff to continue their knowledge and improve their capabilities for fast acting emergency response. If you see a CPR mannequin lying around our facilities, that will mean an audit is happening. Our team is alerted over our radios with a, "This is a test," being said before alerting to the emergency. The staff member then responds to the emergency situation and performs CPR and basic life saving support to the mannequin.

What do I do if I see an audit occuring?

Ensure that it is an audit by either hearing, "This is a test," or seeing the mannequin in person. Then allow the facility staff to conduct their audit. These shouldn't intrude on your time here, but you might just observe these happening. If you are unsure if it is an audit, assume it is an emergency and alert the nearest staff member or front desk staff.
