Lost & Found Policy
General Policies:

University Recreation is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

Participants will not be allowed to search through the found items.

Participants are encouraged to secure all personal belongings in lockers. University Recreation may provide locks for your convenience.

University Recreation staff members are not permitted to hold equipment, valuables or bags for you.

Found items should be turned over to a Facility Supervisor on duty or to the Member Services - Member Support staff where the items will be logged.

Personal items such as towels, clothing, water bottles and toiletries will be stored at the Member Services front desk temporarily. These items will be discarded weekly.

Wallets, jewelry, AirPods and other valuables will be secured at the Student Recreation Center office. Valuable items will be sent to the University Police Department weekly; AppCards will be sent to the AppCard office weekly.

Inquiries regarding items lost that day (including AppCards):

At the Student Recreation Center (SRC), inquiries should be made at the Member Services Front Desk (828-262-8704) or in the Main Office (828-262-2100).

At Mt Mitchell or the Quinn, inquiries can be made at their Member Services Front Desk.

You may claim your lost items by presenting a photo ID to the Facility Supervisor at the Member Services Desk, describing your lost item in detail and signing the Lost and Found Log.
