GAVIN ANGLIN

"Working at UREC to me is a chance to help others and make friends inside the UREC family."

CORI FERGUSON

"The thing I love most about Group Fitness at App State is that you don’t need any prior experience to become an instructor. What this means for me as a current instructor is that I have had the unique opportunity to mentor and train new instructors on how to teach cycle classes. It is so fulfilling to watch someone go from brand new to teaching an entire class by the end of the semester! I’ve loved not only teaching, but also making new friends along the way "

CAROLINE ARCHENBRONN

"I joined Group Fitness Spring semester of my freshman year and unknowingly at the time, it was the best thing I would ever be a part of at ASU. When I joined UREC, I found more than just a job; I found a team who supports and loves each other like nothing else I have ever been a part of at ASU. I am very thankful for finding my passion for fitness. Since becoming a group fitness instructor, this job has allowed me to push myself above and beyond by serving on the Eval Team, being a mentor, and getting my AFAA certification in 2019. I am extremely thankful for each and every participant that has ever taken one of my classes. They are such a huge inspiration to me and make teaching classes so much fun. I will forever cherish each relationship I have built within Group Fitness and my fitness family. I can’t wait to see what amazing things the future holds for Group Fitness. ~Keep your squats low and your standards high~"

"Teaching at UREC means encouraging others to not only reach their goals, but to become confident in themselves as they are and as they grow. It means loving your body for all it's glory and being thankful for your capabilities, no matter how minute they may seem.I teach because of my participants. When I see them reach new heights of their physical and mental capacities, it simply inspires me more and more each day. "

APRIL HALTERMAN

"Teaching group fitness at UREC was such an amazing opportunity for me. It has really helped my mental health and I have made so many great friends within the community!"

EMILY SCHREIBER

"Working at UREC has been my favorite job by far! Everyone within UREC is very welcoming and supportive, and creates a work environment that feels genuine and unique. Teaching is such a rewarding experience- not only do I get to meet new participants and motivate them through movement, but I get a great workout in too!"

CAROLINE COLE

"Working at UREC to me means community. It means strength- mentally and physically. It means passion for pushing others beyond myself. It means being a powerful individual with a team player mentality. Working as a group fitness instructor at UREC has made me the human I am today, and I’ll forever be grateful. I have learned the importance of making working out a part of everyone’s life, and showcasing how it has changed mine. Being a group fitness instructor has brought me immense happiness and the ability to strive for goals larger than myself!"
