Mount Mitchell Fitness Centre
The Mt. Mitchell Fitness Centre, located on the 3rd floor of the Plemmons Student Union, is a cardiovascular and weight training fitness facility that also contains a multipurpose area for a variety of aerobic classes for students and faculty.

University Recreation operates on a modified schedule during breaks, holidays, and exam periods
TheMt. Mitchell cardiovascular area includes: treadmills, stationary bicycles, recumbent bicycles, step machines and cross trainers for use.
The Mt. Mitchell Multipurpose area is a large, mirrored room (1200 square feet) where a variety of classes are held. Some of the classes include Yoga, Ab Attack, Burn-n-Firm, Kick-Punch-Crunch, Super Step, Funk; Thighs, Butt and Gut, H.E.A.T. and Pilates.
The Mt. Mitchell weight room features a large selection of Cybex resistance equipment and dumbbells.
