Student Recreation Center Facility Policies
Participants must present a valid app card or download the UREC app for admittance to the recreation facilities.
The following are prohibited:
- Food or drinks in an open container (i.e. cup).
- Glass containers, tobacco products, gum, alcoholic beverages, pets, and bikes.
- Cleats or spikes footwear.
- Cell phone use in any of the restrooms or locker rooms.
- Use of cameras for taking photos or video.
- Dunk, grab, or hang on the basketball rims
Guests & Dependents
- Guests and dependents under 18 years of age must have appropriate adult supervision while in the facility. Parent/Guardian must remain in the facility at all times.
- Host/Sponsors are responsible for the actions of their guests.
General Use of Facilities
- To participate, all UREC participants (student staff, faculty, and guests) must have a current Liability and Consent Waiver form on file. Waivers are valid for five years.
- Closed-toe/closed-heel non-marking athletic footwear is required in all activity areas (except for the swimming pool) at all times.
- Lockers and cubbies are available for day use only. Locks will be cut, and items removed nightly.
- Personal belongings (wallets, keys, water bottles/containers, bags, clothes, cell phones, etc.) cannot be stored other than in lockers. Lockers and cubbies are available for all personal belongings while exercising in the facility.
- Equipment and facilities should be used for their intended purposes. Modification is prohibited. Please report equipment malfunction or damage to a Facility Supervisor on duty.
- Pick-up games are open to all UREC members.
- Any space reservations can be made through the University Recreation Office before an activity.
- Participants must be at least 12 years old to use any cardio equipment.
Please Note
- Any violation of the policies listed above or those set forth by University Recreation may be grounds for removal from the facilities.
- Closed-circuit cameras are monitoring all UREC facilities.
- University Recreation is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. (Please turn in any found items to a Facility Supervisor on duty)
